Buckeye Cookies

I was so excited to find these cookies in the bakery section at LifeSource Natural Foods. I love their idea to create a cookie that resembles the ever popular buckeye candies.

I personally, am a big fan of the chocolate peanut butter flavor combination and can't wait to try these.

Update: Today, I tried the chocolate PB cookie on the left hand side of the picture below. My review follows.

Flavor - The base of the cookie was not very chocolatey, but I did appreciate the chocolate chips sprinkled throughout. The cookie was a little over sweetened. The PB portion was flavorful.

Texture -  The cookie was a little dry and crumbly. I've actually made similar cookies to these in size and texture using this bloggers recipes.
Cookie Assembly- It looks like the chocolate cookie was topped with peanut butter dough and the baker used their fingers to press it down in the center. Both parts of the cookie seemed to bake evenly.

Malt Ball Flavors

First, let me tell you that I have never been a big fan of whoppers. I've always found them to be over sweetened with a poor chocolate to malt ball ratio. Having said that, I was introduced to the chocolate "peanut butter" whoppers less than a year ago, and they have already become my favorite candy on the market.

I thought they were so unique, because of the addition of peanut butter, but I found that their are many other flavors of malt balls on the market.

Here is a picture of the inside of a Chocolate PB Malt ball.
These PB whoopers are sold in the bulk section at Roth's grocery and LifeSource Natural Foods.

Strawberry Milkshake Malt Balls

I've seen the Strawberry Malt balls in a few stores, one of which is Walgreens.
The fancy flavored malt balls listed below were selling at the local Harry & David store.

Lava Cake, Creme Brulee, Strawberry Cheesecake

Godiva chocolate has been making some unique truffle flavors.

The chocolate Lava Cake Truffle was the first to catch my eye in the store.

Lava Cake Truffle

The lava cake truffle had a little bit of liquid chocolate hidden inside, but the flavor did not remind me of the cake. Godiva must have used a darker chocolate for them and I'm not a big fan of dark chocolate.
I was introduced to the other two truffle flavors at Target.

Creme Brulee Truffle

The chocolate they used for their creme brulee truffle was really good. It reminded me of Lindt chocolates, which are my favorite. I didn't taste a creaminess when eating the truffle. Maybe a hint of white chocolate. The main flavor was the liquid caramel and chocolate. It kind of reminded me of eating a caramello bar. Although they did not execute perfectly on their flavor idea, I did still really enjoy the truffle.

Strawberry Cheesecake Truffle

Godiva did a pretty good job getting the flavor right for their strawberry cheesecake truffle. I could taste a creaminess and the strawberry chocolate flavor was good.

Variety Pack

I would recommend buying the variety pack and sample all 3 of them to find out which ones you like.

Chocolate Pop-tarts

The pop-tart flavors sold today are nothing like the ones I grew up with. That was my first thought when I saw this new chocolate line in the store. I so want to try all of these flavors. If only they sold them individually, so I wouldn't have boxes of them lying around the house.

S'more Pop-tarts

It would be fun to put together a 'camping gift basket' and include these or to have them at an indoor camping themed party.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Pop-tarts

One of my favorite flavor combinations. Yum!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Flavored Products

I really dislike going to Home Depot. As a matter of fact, I gave my husband a coupon one Christmas that said I would go to home depot once with him and not complain. Don't get me wrong, I think they have great customer service and their store is clean and well laid out. I'm just not interested in what they're selling and their warehouse atmosphere.

A few trips back, I decided to look at the candy bar section in their store and I was surprised to find a very unique treat. It was a cinnamon toast crunch candy bar. Let me tell you...I bought one, and they are really good! They're chewy and cinnamon-y and have a white chocolate cinnamon coating that melts in your mouth. Even my husband, who doesn't really like candy bars, thought it was dang good.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treat

I thought about recreating the treats at home,
but I'll probably just keep buying them at the store. I don't need a dozen laying around. =)

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Muffin Mix

I've seen pictures of these baked that other bloggers have posted and they look really nice. I've read some positive reviews about their flavor too. Would make a good addition to a themed gift basket.

Chocolate Cereals

Cereal to my family, is a fun snack food that is hardly ever around. I have oatmeal for breakfast and my husband eats brown rice, but I love the idea of giving unique cereals as a gift.

The ones with chocolate appeal to me the most.

Cookie Crisp Cereal

Who doesn't love cookies and milk? I'd like to thank the genius behind this cereal idea.

Cookies 'n' Cream Cereal

Another cookies and milk combination. Yum!

 Chocolate Almond Cereal

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is not discrete about putting chocolate in their cereal. Surprise, surprise. There are big chocolate chunks throughout the mix. Maybe not the best breakfast option, but gifted as a rare snack or dessert? Sure.

Unique Pudding Flavors

As a kid, I ate pre-made puddings, but the flavor selection back then was much more sorry. Now of days, they have all kinds of unique flavors.

I think these would make great gifts. My Dad, for example, loves Lemon Meringue Pie and Apple Pie so those pudding flavors would make special gifts for him.

I was reading online tonight and saw that JELL-O has put out a s'more flavor. That is the kind of genius I am looking for when gift shopping.
