Rice Crispy Oat and Dried Fruit Treats

I was looking through the treats in the hospital cafeteria the other day, when I noticed oats and dried fruit in the rice crispy treats they were selling. I came home and did a search online for the cookies and found that they are the new thing for the "healthier" generation. Figures they'd be selling them at the hospital.

Lavender Food Products

My mother in law really likes Lavender, so I'm always on the lookout for new lavender gift ideas.

Here are some I've collected so far.

Lavender Blueberry Candy Bar

  Lavender Honey

Selling at the Made in Oregon store.

Lavender Mint Creme Filled Dark Chocolate Candy Bar

Lemon Cookie with Honey Lavender Ice Cream

Lavender Shortbread Cookie

These cookies are selling at my local farmers market.

Dessert Nachos

I thought of making dessert nachos when I saw the new "sweet" chip line selling in stores. Cinco De Mayo was around the corner so I used the cinnamon sugar pita chips and made some. They were good. I used chopped fruit for the "salsa" and whip cream /chocolate for the center. Next time, I'll stry the chocolate chips and add ice cream /frozen yogurt.

Taco Bell sells a dessert nacho kit, I found them at the grocery outlet. But there are other companies selling cinnamon and chocolate chips, so you could put together your own.

Taco Bell - Cinnamon Nachos Dessert Kit

 Chocolate Tortilla Chips

I found these at Lifesource

 Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips

I found these at a local natural food store.

Chocolate Mousse Bunny Peeps

I've never been a fan of Peeps, but I tried these Mousse flavored ones and I liked them. I think the mousse flavor comes through.

S'more Cookies

These s'more cookies are selling at World Market. Yum!

Banana Split Cookies

Wow, really? Banana Split Cookies are a super unique idea, but that's a lot of flavors to try and tackle. I wonder if they all come through in these cookies. They're selling at World Market.

Olive Garden's Italian Dressing

I was surprised to see Olive Garden Italian Dressing bottled up and selling in Costco. I didn't buy it, but I was tempted.

Chocolate Covered Egg Flavors

They had so many unique chocolate flavored Easter eggs this year selling at Walgreens.

Carrot Cake Egg

This one was my favorite. It didn't have the texture of carrot cake, but it had the flavor.

Brownie Egg

This one was the first to catch my attention in the store. I love brownies, but it didn't have the brownie texture that I was looking for. The inner part of the egg is soft and reminds me of brownie batter.

Cookie Dough Egg

This one kind of reminded me of Cookie Dough.

Wedding Cake Egg

I'm not a big fan of cake, so I didn't try this, but I thought it was unqiue.

Birthday Cake Egg

Red Velvet Cake Egg

Avalanche Bark and Coated Caramel Apple

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory makes a treat called Avalanche Bark that is pretty popular. It's basically white chocolate mixed with peanut butter. Once you let that cool you stir in some rice crispys, marshmallows and top the whole thing with chocolate chips. The squares are kind of like fudge.
I'll give you the heads up, they are very rich and calorie dense. This square added up to 500 or more calories.

Avalanche Apple
They sell a caramel apple too with the bark. They dip the apple in caramel, then rice crispies and marshmallows. They zig zag chocolate and avalanche liquid bark over it.

Sasquatch Claws

The Grand Vines restaurant sells chocolates at their front counter. I thought this one was especially unique, and would make a funny Halloween gift.

Sasquatch Claws

I'm pretty sure they are caramels coated in chocolate with cashew claws.

Apple Cider Slushy

I found these Apple Cider Slushies at Baumans farm. So unique.

Halloween Cereal

These boxes of festive cereal would be so great in a Halloween gift basket. I found them at Target.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Marshmallow Stick

I saw these Night Before Christmas marshmallow sticks selling at Walgreen's around Halloween. Would be fun to watch the movie. Here is a movie themed date night my husband and I did, if you'd like more snack ideas.

Turkish Delight

I was excited to find Turkish Delight in the store, because I knew, in combination with the Narnia movie and some hot chocolate, it would make a fun date night. I was right. You can sometimes find Turkish Delight selling at TJ Max and Ross.

Girl Scout Cookie Candy Bars

I was so surprised when I first saw these girl scout candy bars selling at Walgreens. A spin on the cookies we all love. What a great idea!

Pepperoni Pizza Pretzel

I saw this pepperoni pizza pretzel selling at Auntie Anne's a few months ago. So creative. I want to make them at home. I'm sure they'd be a big hit with kids. They cost almost $4 in the mall.

Rice Crispy Treat Cupcake

I saw this caramel topped rice crispy treat shaped as a "cupcake" selling in the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store. I thought it was a cute and unique idea. I think I'd like the presentation better if it had frosting on top, but maybe that would make the cookie too rich.

Here is a side-view picture of the treat.

Marshmallow Dipped Cones

They sell these mini marshmallow dipped cones at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I think it's a pretty unique idea. They'd probably be fun for kids.

Candy Bar Labels

I saw these candy bar labels at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They're so cute!

Chocolate Prescription - Refill as needed

Teachers Make Learning Sweet!

Dipped Oreos

Tuxedo Dipped Oreos

These look like they would be easy to make.

Easter Chick Dipped Oreos

Easter Pasta

I found this Easter pasta selling at the World Market. So cute and unique!

New KitKat Flavors

I was so surprised to see these different flavors of KitKat bars selling in the World Market. The chocolate hazelnut flavor is a classic combination, but I found the other flavors to be very unqiue.

Orange KitKat

Cookies and Creme KitKat

 Hazelnut Cream KitKat

Lemon Curd Thumbprint Cookies

There is local baker who sells a similar looking cookie in their shop. I've tried that cookie and it's amazing. I've been wanting to recreate it home for awhile. The bakery uses lemon curd in the center of their cookies.
Here's another lemon cookie (pic below) selling at Winco.

Caramel Cheesecake Cookies

I can't remember where I saw these cookies, I want to say they were selling somewhere like Ross, TJ Max or the World Market. Anyway, I like the idea for these cookies and the presentation. I think I might try making them at home.

Heart Shaped Pasta

I got this heart shaped pasta at the World Market. I made a cream based pasta with it for Valentines day and it was a big hit.

Caramel Popcorn Flavors

Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn
The mix consisted of caramel corn, some were dipped in chocolate, with a sprinkling of mini reeses peanut butter cups. The idea was there, but I think it would have tasted better homemade and using my families peanut butter caramel recipe to coat the popcorn.

S'more Popcorn

This popcorn looked so good. It had big chunks of graham crackers, marshmallows, with caramel corn and chocolate. I didn't try this popcorn, I gave it away as a gift.

Bunny Crunch

I saw this festive popcorn combination selling at the world market. It looked like there was caramel corn, chocolate and chocolate Easter eggs. I have already recreated this at home and gifted it to friends.
Here is the side view
Here is a picture of the Easter Popcorn I put together for friends.

Popcorn Gone Nuts

I saw this caramel corn selling in the Made in Oregon store. The mixture has candied nuts, caramel corn and chocolate. It would be good for anyone who really likes nuts.
